Mike Rotunda, Bray Wyatt‘s father, expresses his hope that the former WWE Universal Champion will return to WWE soon.

Wyatt has been absent from WWE since the later stages of the road to WrestleMania 39. He had seemingly been gearing up for a match with Bobby Lashley, but the bout never happened.

Speaking with Bill Apter and Dr. Chris Featherstone for Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Rotunda, also known as IRS, was asked about Wyatt.

“You read a lot of stuff on the internet, which I wouldn’t believe a lot of it,” he said. “Or in my case, any of it. So Bray Wyatt, I’m sure, will return to WWE, hopefully shortly, and we’ll go from there.”

According to a recent report, Wyatt is getting closer to being cleared to return. Per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select , Wyatt had been battling an illness that was both “both career and life-threatening.” However, the report noted that he has improved significantly.

As of this writing, there is no word on if or when Wyatt will return to WWE TV. WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
