It is with the deepest sorrow that we make this announcement. Primo Hallowell’s legacy will be remembered not just for his position as a leader within the tribe, but also for his devoted work at CTCHEC, where he served our community for more than 25 years.
During this trying time, our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Michelle, his children, and all of his extended family members. Our hearts are heavy as we offer our most sincere condolences to them. There is no way to quantify the value of Primo’s efforts to the Omaha Tribe and CTCHEC. His tireless devotion to the well-being of our community left an indelible impression.
And his absence will be sadly lamented by those who had the luxury of knowing him. On Tuesday, October 24, both the CTCHEC and the Omaha Tribe will be closed in memory of Primo Hallowell and to pay our respects to him. This day of closure is a somber observance of his funeral, a moment for us to join together as a community to honor the life of a brilliant individual and mourn the loss of that person.
Primo Hallowell’s legacy of devotion, leadership, and passion will forever inspire us. May his memory serve as a compass as we move forward, ensuring that his legacy is carried on in the Omaha Tribe and CTCHEC, and continuing the work that he held so dear to his heart. May it be a guiding light as we move forward.
